Mary

I was born to Mawson and Freda Pearson,  the second of their four children.   At the time of my birth Mawson was working as a Durham Miner.

He didn’t  like that work and was determined that his sons should not have ‘to go down the mine” so we all moved to the Midlands in the 1950s.   I remained in the Midlands – Smethwick, Hagley, Bromsgrove, Birmingham and now the East Midlands on the borders of the shires of Derby/Leicester/Stafford and Nottingham.
